


On January 6, 2026, Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited, hosted a memorable send-off ceremony to honour the remarkable career of Johnson Akintelure, the outgoing Agric Manager for Utagba-Uno site. The event marked the conclusion of an extraordinary 32 years of service, a tenure defined by resolute loyalty and a deep-seated devotion to the company’s agricultural mission. Over more than three decades, Johnson has contributed significantly to the long-term growth and sustainability of the company's operations.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Utagba‑Uno Management Guesthouse, brought together staff and colleagues from various sites, top management, the Human Resource Manager also representing the Managing Director, Out growers, friends, and well‑wishers who gathered to celebrate Johnson’s remarkable legacy throughout his extensive career.
The representative of the Managing Director Smart Okhions, welcomed everyone and congratulated Johnson noting that three decades of service represent a rare level of devotion to a single organization and to RENL, his 32‑year journey stands as a powerful testament to dedication, consistency, and long-term vision. He then thanked Akintelure for his steady hand and loyal service throughout his service to RENL, distinguishing himself through a rare blend of professionalism and technical expertise. He added that the leadership of Johnson was instrumental in the modernization and improvement of the plantations under his care, but his impact stretched far beyond physical yields. He also recognized him as a dedicated mentor who took pride in shaping the careers of younger colleagues, leaving behind a legacy of inspired professionals who now carry forward his high standards.
On their enormous reply, staff members and out growers also used the occasion to offer deep commendations praising him for his steady guidance and strong collaborative spirit, noting that under his leadership, the out-grower scheme in Utagba-Uno became the most efficient, best‑coordinated, and highest‑performing out grower programme within the entire RENL network.
