On Thursday 9th of May 2024, the management of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited marked the 2024 international women's day with celebration that honored the achievements and contribution of women to the growth of the company and the society at large.
The event which was held simultaneously across RENL sites of operation at Araromi, Osse River and Utagba – Uno, drew a large gathering of employees, management and guests who came together to recognize the vital role women play in the organization and society.
In his address, the Managing Director of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited, Olivier Odoukou emphasized the organization's commitment to creating a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity and equal opportunities for all. In his words ʺwe are proud to celebrate the accomplishments and potential of our female colleagues and partners. Today and every day, we commit to promoting gender balance and celebrating women's achievements in workplace and beyond.
The event featured inspiring speeches, drama presentations, eating competition, novelty match and lots more.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the female employees Hannah Nnochiri in Osse River Site, thanked the management of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited for appreciating and recognizing the support of its female employees. She added that it is wonderful to be part of an organization that prioritizes gender equality and women empowerment and promised that the female employees will continue to put in their best at all times for the overall development of the Company.
