Workers day 1

On May 1st, 2024, the management of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited organizes its fourth International Worker's Day celebration across its sites of operation in Araromi, Osse River, Utagba-Uno, and Waterside sites respectively to celebrate its staff as they join their counterparts across the country to commemorate the 2024 worker's day. The theme of this year's celebration tagged "Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a changing environment", according to RENL management, is aimed at driving home the need to be always safety conscious to avert any form of work-related accident.

The event which was attended by the Managing Director of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited Olivier Odoukou, alongside top management staff, community representatives from neighboring communities, and dependents of staff and other well-wishers was marked with pomp and pageantry by all who gathered to celebrate the day.

In his address, the Managing Director of the Company, Olivier Odoukou thanked and congratulated all RENL workers for their good work. In his words, ʺYour good work is also giving us the financial resources to resist in this very difficult economic context of the country. As you know, our production in the field and in the factory are the only source of revenue of the company. That is why we should continue to write the success story of RENL together by achieving all our targets for this year 2024".

He also stated that the staff has done well as the field production is on target and zero (0) work-related accident has been recorded so far and other key objectives are on track. He urged them to continually put in their best as we will have a successful year 2024.

The event featured a range of activities including cultural display, match pass by different departments and divisions, songs and drama presentation, and also a brief speech on safety precautions and lots more.
