2023 RENL sends off Joseph Alain KOUAME

On Tuesday 28th of November 2023, Management, and members of staff of Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited celebrates with one of their very best, a distinguished personality who has contributed immensely to the growth of the Company and the workers. The ceremony was in honour of the outgoing Human Resource Manager, Joseph–Alain Kouame who has put in 4 years of meritorious service to the company.

The event took place at the main guest house of the Company in Osse and Araromi sites respectively and saw the attendance of top management staff of the company as well as other members of staff from across the sites.

Addressing all workers present at the event, the Managing Director of the Company Olivier Odoukou noted that the Company has benefitted immensely from the expertise of the Human Resource Manager, especially at the time the Human Resource Department was in dire need of a proactive Human resource professional to bring about international best practices for the company. He mentioned that Joseph-Alain Kouame has an indelible mark in the annals of RENL history as one HR that helped to mend bridges and bring about job satisfaction to workers. He stated that his collaboration was top-notch, and this was displayed in his relationship with both top management and workers.

Olivier Odoukou testified that the Human Resource Manager Joseph–Alain Kouame has made it possible for him to achieve his much-celebrated success in RENL. In his words,

ʺJoseph–Alain Kouame made it possible for us to bring out the best from the staff by showing us the direction, providing relevant answers to our issues on HR Management, making good proposals that have enabled us to achieve what we have achieved so far’’.

On his part, the Deputy Human Resource Manager Smart Okhions noted that Joseph–Alain Kouame has not only been a boss to him, but a teacher who has helped in the development of HR team. He further mentioned that his commitment to excellent strategic thinking and unwavering support for the growth and wellbeing of all employees have set a standard that he will strive to uphold in the future. He therefore wishes him well as he embarks on a new chapter in his professional journey.

In his response, Joseph–Alain Kouame expresses gratitude to everyone present for believing in the management and giving them the opportunity to give their best. He also uses the opportunity to thank the union for celebrating the successes of management. He stated that his achievement would not have been complete if not for the contribution of top management who he said collaborated immensely with him in ensuring adequate welfare for the workers.  He therefore thanked them for their support.

He enjoined the workers to extend to his successor all the assistance given to him and promised that with this, the best is yet to come.
