As an Agro-Allied company committed to agricultural growth and development, Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited joined Edo State College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Iguoriakhi, in celebrating her first matriculation ceremony of newly admitted National Diploma students.
The ceremony which took place on 16th of May 2025, was attended by the Permanent Secretary Edo State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Dr. Osagie Aibuedefe Peter, Edo State Commissioner of Education Iyamu Paddy Emmanuel, Representative of the Managing Director of RENL Taiwo Akinmadelo, Acting Provost and other principal officers of the school, matriculating Students among others.
The Permanent Secretary Edo State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Dr. Osagie Aibuedefe Peter congratulated the students and noted that it is a dream come true to have students back on campus to study after shutting down for so long. He then stated that Edo State Government prioritize Agriculture and will keep showing its commitment to maintaining a good food security network.
He also encouraged the students to make good use of their time by putting more efforts in developing themselves and to appreciate their course of study.
On her part, the functioning Provost of the college Dr. Eghosa Esther Akangbe thanked everyone who joined in welcoming the first pioneer set of students to the school. She said it is a historic moment to have the first set of matriculating students since the re-establishment and reposition of the college. She advised the students to be dedicated to their studies and be passionate about agriculture.
