RENL joins global fight against malaria with awareness campaign
On Friday 25th of April 2025, RENL joined millions of people around the world to mark the 2025, world malaria day by holding a malaria sensitization exercise. The activity aimed at reminding staff on the ongoing global fight against malaria, aligns with the global theme "Malaria Ends with Us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite".
The sensitization exercise held at Osse River general muster saw the attendance of the Agric Manager of Osse, Kayode Patrick, Dr. Adegoke Dawodu, Agric supervisors, tappers among others.
In a key address, Dr. Adegoke Dawodu, highlighted the devasting impact of malaria on both children and adult and noted that malaria remains a significant public health challenge, particularly in tropical regions. He then encouraged everyone to always make use of mosquito treated nets while sleeping.
On his part, the Agric Manager of Osse, Kayode Patrick appreciated the medical team for their tireless efforts in promoting health and wellness among staff of the company. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in the fight against malaria, noting that collective efforts would yield better results.
Speaking on behalf of the workers, Felix Udoh thanked the management for educating them on the prevention of malaria and for also providing them with the first batch of mosquito repellent cream. He maintained that workers will continue to make adequate use of the repellent cream so as to serve the purpose it is met for.
