RENL holds 2nd Quarter Relations Committee meetings with Host Communities, emphasizes management commitment to Child Labour Policy
Marking a significant step in its commitment to community engagement, Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited launched its second-quarterly Relations Committee meetings with host communities to foster open communication, discuss sustainable development projects, and enhance mutual growth for both the company and the host communities.
The meetings also serve as a forum for the drive to eradicate any form of child labour within RENL sites of operations.
The meeting was attended by stakeholders from both the Company and the Communities and was presided over by the Security and Public Relations Coordinator, Dayo Ikusika.
In his remarks, Dayo Ikusika extends the Managing Director's appreciations to the communities for their commitment to peaceful coexistence which has made RENL business to thrive. He acknowledged their crucial role in creating a conducive environment for the company's operations and encouraged continued collaboration.
On their part, the members of the Relations Committees expressed appreciation for RENL's dedication to building strong relationships with its host communities, highlighting the company collaborative initiatives and commitment to sustainable development.
The meeting also provided the opportunity for the communities to be sensitized on the company's policy on Child Labour and Climate Change during which everyone was urged to raise awareness about occupational safety in the phase of climate change.
